Social Media Community Manager – $35-$38/hr W2
Location: Remote in the US on EST/CST
Job Type: Part time 20 to 25 hours a week, August through December with potential for extension
Compensation Range: $35-$38/hr W2
We are seeking a dynamic Social Media Community Manager to support our efforts in building meaningful, engaged online communities via relevant social media platforms. This person will be responsible for building, nurturing, and managing our brand’s communication to customers and users through engagement while representing the brand’s voice.
Responsibilities:
- Actively monitor active brand channels and respond to consumer comments and messages with approved messaging.
- Escalate urgent customer service inquiries or sensitive topics to appropriate internal team members.
- Positively engage with consumers on both organic and paid media to continue strengthening the brand’s online community.
- Light reposting of UGC or relevant tagged content on Facebook or Instagram when appropriate and relevant.
- Assist in developing a formal social media brand FAQ customer service document that encompasses all social media responses.
- Participate in online conversations surrounding brand events and offline brand activities.
- Monitor competitor news and social activity.
- Track organic engagement on social platforms, providing insight into what the community engages with the most.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Two years of experience in community management, social media, or digital marketing, specifically in CPG, retail, or spirits.
- Deep understanding of major social platforms and community-building strategies.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Experience using social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Iconosquare, Meta Suite).
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
