Content Operations Manager / Director of Editing (Remote or Local)
This is NOT a “just edit videos” role or “just schedule videos” role.
This is for someone who wants to own content, build systems, and help scale fast-growing brands.
We have a team that will do most of the video editing & scheduling off content but this role must over see the process and confirm everything is up to standards.
We’re hiring a Content Operations Manager / Director of Editing to run content end-to-end across multiple brands and YouTube channels, including:

What You’ll Be Responsible For Content Operations & Quality Control
- Review long-form and short-form videos before publishing
- Leave clear, actionable editing notes for editors
- Hold editors to a high creative and technical standard
- Make light edits yourself when needed (quick fixes, trims, captions)
- Be the final quality check before content goes live
Systems & Process Ownership (Very Important)
We already have a decent content workflow in place but looking for someone who could help us improve this.
- Create a clear, repeatable content system from idea → edit → publish → distribute
- Build, document, and improve Editing & Posting SOPs
- Organize workflows so nothing falls through the cracks
- Continuously improve speed, quality, and consistency
Team Leadership
- Communicate daily with editors
- Hire, onboard, and train new editors
- Enforce standards and provide direct feedback
- Act as the point person for all content execution
Distribution & Growth
- Distribute content across YouTube, Shorts, Reels, and other platforms
- Repurpose coaching calls and long-form videos into short-form clips
- Ensure all links, CTAs, and tracking are correct
- Post stories and social teasers driving traffic to long-form content
Creative & Strategy
- Generate YouTube video ideas and angles
- Understand hooks, pacing, and what makes content perform
- Spot weak content instantly and know how to fix it
Email & Promotion
- Write and distribute weekly emails tied to content
- Coordinate content releases and promotional pushes
What We’re Looking For
- At least 6 months of real content experience
- Your own channel or working on someone else’s team
- Strong creative taste — you know what’s good and what isn’t
- Organized, proactive, and systems-driven
- Comfortable leading editors and giving direct feedback
- Available during US hours
- Can do light editing when needed
- A true self-starter who takes ownership
Work Setup
- Remote (US-based preferred)
- Bonus if you’re near us, not required
- Part-time to start, with room to grow
