The Role: Content Strategist
As a Content Strategist at Viral Growth, you’ll operate at the critical intersection of data analysis and creative innovation, combining ambitious ideas with platform-specific best practices and data-driven insights. You’ll be a versatile thinker and collaborative team member, working across departments with leadership, account managers, video editors, scriptwriters, and thumbnail designers to create exceptional, high-performing educational video content.
Your primary responsibility will be ensuring platform-optimized video assets throughout all production phases, driving outstanding performance metrics in views, engagement, and follower/subscriber growth for our elite client roster.

What you can expect:
– Drive vision and creative decisions for multiple clients’ video content strategies, directly impacting and growing their audiences with educational long- and short-form videos across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
– Optimize videos across every stage of production; coming up with viral video ideas, designing clickable titles and thumbnails, formulating engaging hooks and script structures, and giving feedback on video editing to optimize for retention
– Study client competitors and niche markets, and analyze data sets from YouTube analytics and third-party analytics platforms to inform content strategy and keep us ahead of platform updates and organic video best practices.
– Develop multi-platform content strategies, which employ various video content formats, styles, and lengths to maximize impressions, views, engagement, and community growth
– Work closely with the customer success team to ensure the alignment of creative concepts with client objectives and brand guidelines.
– Provide constructive feedback to video editors, thumbnail designers, and scriptwriters to align with client expectations and optimize video performance.
– Analyze and report on cross-platform data on a weekly basis to determine what is working, what isn’t working, and why. Summarize these findings into a comprehensive end-of-month report with a focus on how we plan to double down on our learnings in the coming months.
Job requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
– 2+ years of experience in developing and executing **long-form and short-form** video content strategy across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
– Proven experience in creating viral or high-performing videos that drive high view counts and significant audience growth for at least one brand besides your own. Experience in video scriptwriting and/or video editing is an advantage.
– Deep knowledge/expertise in YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok meta-trends, including relevant creators, new algorithm changes, analytics, and monetization strategies.
– Demonstrated ability in leveraging social media analytics and developing both internal and client-facing reports on successful and unsuccessful strategies.
– Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, adapting to changing priorities and demands.
– Extremely deadline-oriented with an understanding of the importance of project timelines.
– Tech-savvy with quick learning abilities for new software.
