ButterflyMX is hiring an SEO Content Manager to join our Marketing Team. The ideal candidate is a self-starting writing professional with a proven track-record of driving qualified leads through SEO-optimized content. This position reports directly to the Director of Content and will be crucial in scaling the ButterflyMX content marketing strategy. This individual is well-versed in SEO, Generative Engine Optimization, B2B marketing, and has experience using AI to streamline content creation and strategy. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a fast learner, and a collaborative team player who excels at both strategy and execution. They have exceptional attention to detail and do not require large oversight or direction.
Responsibilities
- Generate qualified leads through SEO content for the sales team by combining creative storytelling and technical precision.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in SEO, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript best practices, to ensure content performs technically while engaging readers.
- Work with Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate new content and optimize/enhance existing content.
- Implement SEO and GEO best practices and methodologies to outpace industry trends and search algorithm changes while integrating SEO recommendations into ButterflyMX content; provide data-driven recommendations to increase site traffic for the ButterflyMX blog.
- Become an expert in ButterflyMX’s product, customers, and industry to create content that builds brand awareness and addresses customer concerns.
- Conduct regular market research and competitor gap analysis to identify trends and inform content strategy; conduct thorough keyword research and competitive
- analysis to identify opportunities for content optimization and growth.
- Identify and lead the creation of public-facing content, including blog posts, video scripts, case studies, and ebooks, that adhere to relevant market trends.
- Track and analyze content performance metrics to inform strategy and demonstrate impact.
- Maintain organized workflows for assigned projects using shared project management systems and collaborating with the content team.
- Adopt ButterflyMX’s brand voice to write, edit, and proofread content for website, email, and social media including blog posts, press releases, social media posts, case studies, ebooks, etc.
Requirements
- 5 years+ content marketing experience for in-house marketing teams.
- Technical expertise:

- Expertise in SEO best practices and trends, Google Core Update quality guidelines, and ranking factors across multiple search engines.
- Proven track record of leveraging SEO and Generative Engine Optimization to generate leads and optimize content.
- Experience with content marketing planning, content optimization for SEO, competitor gap analysis, performance tracking, and search algorithms.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript and how it impacts SEO.
- Demonstrable experience with the following tools: WordPress, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, SEMRush.

- You are a compelling storyteller with excellent written and verbal communication skills who can craft engaging content that drives traffic and converts leads.
- Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and how they can be leveraged to create, optimize, and enrich content.
