Senior Manager, Global Social Media – $144,000 – $180,000 a year

Building the world’s leading sound experience starts with the experience we provide for our people. That’s why we’ve been distributed from the start: initially between offices in Boston & Santa Barbara, and now with additional offices in Seattle, San Francisco & Paris. This role can be done remotely from home within the US.
As Sr. Manager, Global Social Media you will be responsible for the strategic development of all owned global social media channels inclusive of channel strategy, agency resourcing, creative development, and measurement.
What You’ll Do

Champion the strategic vision for Sonos’s global social media presence, overseeing the comprehensive implementation of long-term strategies and day-to-day execution. You’ll continuously evolve and expand this strategy by leveraging data-driven insights and community feedback, ensuring alignment with overall business priorities and brand guidelines.

Architect and implement innovative strategies to transform social media into a powerful customer acquisition engine, driving measurable growth and engagement.

Lead and foster collaborative relationships with global marketing counterparts and regional marketing teams to ensure seamless alignment and inclusion of localized initiatives showcasing cultural touchpoints across key markets.

Rebuild a sense of community across organic social media touchpoints, integrating the brand voice and tone across owned channels and within communities, driving relevancy and engagement.

Champion continuous optimization of all organic social media channels through rigorous A/B testing, performance analysis, and data-driven insights, maximizing reach, and engagement.

Cultivate and manage high-impact relationships with external agencies, ensuring all content consistently reflects Sonos’s brand identity, elevates our brand platform, and resonates deeply with our target audience. You’ll establish clear, quantifiable metrics to evaluate the success of all initiatives, using these insights to inform and refine future strategies.

Act as a central social media expert, working closely with cross-functional teams including CRM, DTC, product marketing, creative, analytics, and product to ensure strategic alignment and integrated campaign execution.

Rigorously manage the social media budget, optimizing resource allocation to maximize ROI and achieve strategic objectives.

Stay at the forefront of evolving social media trends, emerging platforms, and technological advancements, proactively identifying new opportunities for Sonos to innovate, engage audiences, and maintain a competitive edge.

Maintain an issues management plan for social media, ensuring swift, coordinated, and effective responses to safeguard brand reputation and mitigate potential negative impacts.
What You’ll Need
Basic Qualifications

10+ years experience in social media, digital marketing, content strategy for a premium consumer product company.

Extensive experience managing global owned social media channels.

Proven ability to articulate vision and strategy to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools and social media content management systems.

Experience hiring, developing and managing high-performing, diverse, inclusive and globally distributed teams.

Extensive experience managing and collaborating cross functionally to drive alignment and impact across an organization.

Ability to analyze data and use insights to drive decision-making.

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience with consumer electronics, consumer goods or technology products is a plus.

The base pay range for this role based off geographic location is:
$144,000 and $180,000
The specific pay offered will depend on the candidate’s geographic location, as well as qualifications and experience. We apply geographic pay differentials based on the cost of labor in the market. Employees in high-cost locations may be compensated at the upper end of the range, while those in medium or low cost markets may be compensated at the lower end of the range. Your recruiter can provide more details about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
