Scriptwriter
I need someone who can write 1,500–2,000-word expository essays on lighthearted or comedic topics that can be turned into entertaining YouTube videos. These scripts don’t need to have jokes within them, just topics or stories that are easy lay-ups for me to make jokes about while reading for the video.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a strong comedic writer who knows how to turn simple, lighthearted, or seemingly mundane topics into entertaining YouTube videos. They should be comfortable writing 1,500 to 2,000 word expository scripts that are structured, informative, and easy to follow while still feeling funny, conversational, and personality driven.

They should understand YouTube pacing and audience retention, knowing how to hook viewers early, keep ideas moving, build jokes and observations throughout the script, and avoid sections that feel overly academic or drawn out. Strong research skills are important, but the ability to take that information and turn it into something genuinely entertaining is even more valuable.
Experience writing YouTube video essays, commentary, comedy, entertainment, or similar online content is preferred. The best fit is someone who can take an ordinary topic and find the weird, funny, or surprisingly interesting angle that makes people want to keep watching.
