What You’ll Do ✍️
- Watch lots of our previous YouTube videos, read our old scripts and study our training materials.
- Write 2 long-form video scripts per month, starting from a single video idea. Scripts should seamlessly transition between Jamie’s in-studio A-plot and Adam’s in-the-wild B-plot, and follow advanced storytelling techniques.
- Research Youtube, specifically our niche and competitor channels, to identify trending topics to pitch us as upcoming video ideas.
- Work within our smooth, fully-remote workflow: Organized assets, clear feedback, quick turnarounds.
Must-Haves ✅
- Expert storytelling skills with a strong understanding of YouTube pacing, audience retention and how to build suspense and excitement. You operate within the top 1% of your class.
- Proven experience in scriptwriting, especially for long-form video content on YouTube.
- Ability to take initiative with minimal guidance, while also being open to feedback and revisions.
Nice Extras ⚡️
- Familiarity with the Aquarium Info channel and its unique voice.
- A genuine passion for animals, maker culture, science-y rabbit holes or aquascaping.
Pay & Flow 💸
- USD $750-$1,500 per video (based on experience & project complexity).
- Remote, flexible schedule with an expectation to create 2 x 2,500 word scripts per month.
- Ability to navigate shifting deadlines and product delivery schedules.

If we decide to move forward, you will be paid to write the first 2 minutes (roughly 300 words) of an upcoming video.
