About the Job
Land Survey Drafts runs paid training in land survey drafting (Civil 3D), plus business training for freelance CAD drafters in the land surveying field. We’re hiring a remote scriptwriter to write 3 short-form scripts per day (21 per week), delivered in one weekly batch for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.
You’ll write across the full funnel:
- Top of funnel: industry education, hot takes, mythbusting and drafter humor to reach new audiences
- Middle of funnel: my founder story, behind-the-scenes and real drawing breakdowns that build trust
- Bottom of funnel: student testimonials, student success stories and program-focused content that drives sign-ups
Your job is to find what’s already working and make more of it, so we get more content that pulls views and drives sales. You’ll pitch hooks and ideas for every stage of the funnel, and I send talking points when needed.
Ideal Candidate
- Has written content for info offers (courses, coaching or training programs) that drove sales
- Has written short-form content that performed, with the analytics to prove it
- Studies what’s working and builds on it rather than guessing
- Understands the funnel and knows how to write for each stage
- Can make a technical subject interesting in the first 3 seconds
- Knows how to turn real stories and testimonials into content people watch to the end
- Writes fast and keeps quality high across a full weekly batch
- Bonus: a background in civil engineering, surveying or construction
Job Requirements
- Required: experience writing short-form content for info offers. Tell us which offers and what results your content drove.
- 2–3 short-form videos you wrote
- Analytics screenshots for each: impressions, retention/watch time, and engagement
- Review our Instagram (@jasenhunt). Pick our 3 best-performing recent videos, explain why you think they worked, and pitch 5 new hook ideas that build on them (at least one each for top, middle and bottom of funnel)
- Script format: hook, on-screen text, talking points and shot notes
- 21-script batch delivered on the same day every week
