Job Summary: We are seeking a versatile and research-driven writer to collaborate with a subject matter experts (SME) in developing a range of high-impact content, including books, white papers, articles, and other strategic publications. This role requires both strong writing and editorial skills as well as the ability to independently conduct research to complement the SME’s insights, ensuring the final materials are accurate, engaging, and aligned with the intended audience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the SME to understand their vision, expertise, and objectives for each piece of content.
• Review and synthesize provided materials such as notes, recordings, slide decks, or draft content.
• Conduct independent research to expand on or substantiate ideas, incorporating data, case studies, and industry references as needed.
• Write and edit high-quality content in the form of: Long-form publications (e.g., books, reports); Shorter-form pieces (e.g., op-eds, blog posts, white papers); or Strategic content artifacts (e.g., speeches, briefs, executive summaries)
• Ensure each deliverable maintains the SME’s authentic voice, and meets goals for tone, structure, and clarity.
• Collaborate on outlining, content planning, and revision cycles.
• Maintain editorial timelines and version control across multiple projects. Qualifications:
• Strong portfolio of authored or ghostwritten long- and short-form content.
• Excellent research and synthesis capabilities across complex or technical domains.
• Proven ability to write in varied tones and for diverse formats and audiences.
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and responsive to feedback and evolving priorities.
• Experience in collaborating with subject matter experts, thought leaders, or executives.
