Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Copywriter develops clear, engaging marketing content across digital and print formats. This role focuses on writing and editing website content, newsletters, and campaign materials that support IHI’s mission and brand voice. The Copywriter collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure content is accurate, audience-centered, and aligned with strategic priorities.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Write and edit marketing copy for a range of formats and channels, including website pages, email, social media, blog posts, and digital collateral
- Support the development and distribution of newsletters (weekly and/or monthly), ensuring timely and relevant content that meets audience needs
- Collaborate with teammates to execute campaign materials, landing pages, and event marketing copy
- Partner with internal teams to understand goals and adapt messaging accordingly
- Ensure copy aligns with brand voice, tone, and accessibility best practices
- Participate in content audits and rewriting projects for website clarity and consistency
Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong writing and editing skills across digital and print formats, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences
- Familiarity with SEO principles and optimizing content for web
- Basic understanding of content strategy, brand voice, and campaign objectives
- Strong time management and attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines
- Comfortable collaborating in a team environment and incorporating feedback
- Ability to work independently with guidance, ask questions, and prioritize tasks

Position Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications discipline or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of marketing copywriting experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
- Experience working with CMS platforms or email marketing tools
- Familiarity with healthcare, equity, or nonprofit messaging
- Experience writing for diverse or global audiences
Physical Attributes:
- Ability to Sit for Extended Periods: Capability to work at a desk for long durations
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using a computer, including typing, mouse handling, and other office equipment
- Visual Acuity: Ability to read and view a computer screen for extended periods
- Hearing and Speaking: Clear communication over phone and video calls
- Environment Setup: Access to a quiet, professional home office setup conducive to focused work and virtual meetings
- Lifting: Occasionally requires lifting up to 25 lbs as needed
