Marketing Content Expert – Mental Health Practice – $40 – $50 an hour
About Us: Greenwich Psychology Group is a high-end, private mental health practice serving high-functioning individuals, families, couples, and executives. We provide discreet, evidence-based care in both New York City and Greenwich, CT. We are seeking a Marketing Content Director, ideally someone who is currently working as a wellness-focused journalist or editor for a lifestyle, health, or psychology publication or magazine.
Role Summary: You will lead the development of patient-facing marketing content across digital, print, and media. You must be an exceptional writer with a proven background in marketing for wellness, high-end publications, or luxury creative industries, ideally with exposure to mental health, emotional well-being, or personal development messaging. You will work directly with the leadership team to strategize monthly themes, curate therapist-driven insights, and elevate the practice’s public profile through original content and media features.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Write and manage content for monthly newsletters, blog posts, and social media
- Pitch and publish original articles in top-tier health and wellness publications (e.g., HuffPost, Verywell Mind, NY Post, Psychology Today)Collaborate with clinical team to develop blog posts, capture behind-the-scenes photos of therapy events, and produce short clips or reels highlighting each clinician’s specialty
- Plan, coordinate in partnership with therapists, to enhance social media reels, and website clips, digital flyers and website content
- Oversee creation including screen-based displays, printed pamphlets, and service menus
- Maintain consistent brand messaging across physical and digital platforms
- Assist in developing content strategy and campaigns across platforms
- Collaborate with leadership and PR partners to pitch stories and deepen media relationships**
- Collaborate with therapists to extract insights and translate into client-friendly messaging
- Manage seasonal marketing calendars, topic mapping, and brand-aligned messaging
- Create content for campaigns
- Direct a graphic designer and social media assistant to execute campaigns visually
- Monitor performance of content across platforms and adjust strategy based on analytics
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field
- Proven publication history in high-authority outlets (such as HuffPost, NY Post, Verywell Mind, or other wellness and lifestyle platforms), either as a contributor or as an editor working with marketing agencies or publications.
- At least 3–5 years of content strategy or marketing writing experience with demonstrated creativity and success, ideally with evidence of longevity in prior roles.
- Deep understanding of patient psychology and how to write empathetically, clearly, and persuasively
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to meet deadlines independently
- Experience writing or editing for clinicians is a strong plus
