We are looking for a professional with significant experience in B2B email and SMS marketing – someone who doesn’t need any handholding. You are not plugging into an existing, refined program; you are working with us to establish the process, timeline and approach in our ongoing outreach to prospective leads and existing customers. Using your marketing expertise to drive retention and new business from existing subscribers is almost, if not more important than generating new leads externally. This is an individual contributor role, so you need to be comfortable handling all aspects of the campaign: development, deployment, copy, cadences, reporting, constantly adjusting approach based on data outcomes, integrations, and beyond. This is not a training role – we need someone that has experience working within a successful marketing structure, who is familiar with each component of the campaign lifecycle.
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain consistent, compelling messaging across all company communications, including websites, marketing campaigns, and external touchpoints.
- Collaborate on targeted SMS and email campaigns as part of a comprehensive marketing strategy to engage prospects and customers.
- Build and optimize campaigns using data-driven insights to enhance customer experiences and performance.
- Drive marketing qualified leads (MQLs) and revenue growth while upholding brand voice and clarity.
- Improve marketing efficiency through streamlined workflows and automation tools.
- Oversee the design and layout of marketing materials to ensure visual consistency and brand alignment.
- Provide weekly performance reports with actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Manage integrations with platforms like CRM and communication tools, maintaining accurate project records.
- Propose innovative tools and strategies to elevate marketing and communications efforts.
- Familiarity with modern marketing technology stacks, including proficiency in key areas such as email marketing platforms, social media management tools, analytics software, and CRM systems, with a focus on integrating these technologies to optimize campaign performance and customer engagement.
- Create and deploy full lifecycle SMS and email campaigns through the entire customer journey – ranging from prospecting, lead nurturing, onboarding, upsell/cross-sell, and retention, and winback.
- Regularly create new campaigns, as well as keep existing ones up-to-date.
- Continually test and optimize all aspects of campaigns.
- Generate MQLs that drive revenues and subscriber growth.
- Report weekly on campaign performance, along with coming with recommendations on how to keep improving.
- Manage campaign data enrichment, segmentation, targeting.
- Ensure that all communications are consistent with our brand and values.
- Work with external resources on any needed integrations, including between SMS/email platforms, our CRM, and any other toolsets that allow to closely manage many campaigns simultaneously.
- Consistently maintain your projects and activities, as complete and current, in our project management system.
- Research and recommend new tools and platforms.
- Take on other marketing initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years working in SMS/email marketing with experience developing high-performing B2B cadences
- Understanding and real-world application of best-practices knowledge in deliverability, segmentation, copy, cadences, attribution, and design
- A history of pouring over campaign data and leveraging it to constantly evolve your strategy and execution
- Ability to overcome any operational blockers and maintain focus on delivering impact
- Completely hands-on experience in multiple platforms
- Working knowledge of email platform integrations
