Learning and Development RFP Writer – $69K – $75K/yr
McGarity Consulting Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive RFP Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the preparation, writing, and submission of proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other business development opportunities. This position requires strong writing skills, an understanding of our industry, and the ability to craft compelling, customized responses that align with client needs and McGarity’s strengths.
Key Responsibilities:
- RFP and Proposal Writing
- Lead the writing and development of comprehensive proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitations for government and commercial clients.
- Develop clear, concise, and persuasive content tailored to the requirements of each RFP, ensuring compliance with submission guidelines, deadlines, and all client requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., subject matter experts, project managers, business development) to gather necessary information, solutions, and supporting documentation.
- Proposal Management and Coordination
- Track proposal timelines and ensure that all deliverables are met on schedule.
- Manage the proposal process from initial request through final submission, including developing outlines, writing content, reviewing drafts, and finalizing the proposal.
- Facilitate team collaboration, ensuring the proper flow of information and that all sections of the proposal align with McGarity’s strategy and objectives.
- Research and Content Development
- Conduct research on client organizations, industry trends, and best practices to inform proposal responses and positioning.
- Develop content that highlights McGarity Consulting Group’s strengths, experience, and solutions in learning and development, change management, and other areas of expertise.
- Editing and Quality Assurance
- Review and edit all sections of the proposal for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and compliance with RFP requirements.
- Ensure that all final documents are free of errors and formatted professionally for submission.
- Continuously improve proposal processes and content based on feedback and lessons learned from previous submissions.
- Proposal Presentation Support
- Prepare and coordinate proposal presentations, including developing executive summaries, slide decks, and other presentation materials.
- Assist in the creation of marketing and collateral materials to support proposals and client outreach.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in writing proposals, particularly for government or corporate clients. Prior experience with RFPs related to learning and development, change management, or consulting is required.
- Skills:
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to understand and translate complex technical and business concepts into clear, persuasive proposals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management tools.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
