Freelance Content Writer, DOCS Dermatology

Position Summary
Our small, in-house marketing team supports both patient-facing practices and our parent MSO brand. We’re seeking a seasoned freelance content writer to help us bring consistency, clarity, and creativity to our brand communications across digital and print.
This role offers the opportunity to shape and support a growing brand, while producing copy that drives real impact in patient care, physician referrals, and brand growth. You’ll collaborate with a nimble and supportive marketing team including our Creative Director, Director of Brand & Communication, CRM Director, and Chief Marketing Officer.
Scope of Work
Initial Priorities:
- Support the copy development of marketing materials such as:
- Referral brochures and one-pagers for physicians
- Consumer-facing brochures and in-office handouts
- Promotional ad copy (digital & print)
- Assist in messaging and positioning for our parent MSO brand (B2B audience)
- Contribute to the development and rollout of a distinct brand voice and tone across the organization, based on our existing brand guidelines for DOCS Dermatology Group and DOCS Dermatology websites
Ongoing & Expanded Needs:
- Write or edit copy for CRM campaigns (email and SMS), provider spotlights, paid media, landing pages, and other marketing initiatives
- Support multi-location practice differentiators and brand storytelling
- Refine general website copy for affiliate practice websites (e.g., homepage, about us, provider bios, etc.) (as needed)
- Write and revise website service page content for medical and cosmetic dermatology across affiliate practice websites (as needed)
Minimum Qualifications
We’re looking for a collaborative, strategic writer with:
- Proven experience writing for healthcare, wellness, or medical aesthetics brands
- Strong understanding of both patient-facing (B2C) and provider-facing (B2B) messaging
- Ability to match tone and adapt voice across multiple brands while maintaining clarity and consistency
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for website content
- Excellent communication and ability to take feedback, iterate quickly, and meet deadlines
- Flexible availability. This is an ongoing remote role with the potential for long-term collaboration. Hours will start at 10-20 hours per week with ability to scale to ~30 hours/week
