Email Campaign Manager – $50,000 – $70,000 a year
We’re seeking a Lifecycle (Email) Campaign Manager to serve as both the strategic lead and primary point of contact for our clients. In this role, you will orchestrate the entire lifecycle marketing process—planning campaigns, coordinating production across internal teams, and continuously optimizing strategies to drive client success.

You will work closely with our senior strategists to help mentor you and level up your clients every week. Our team is widely considered a top email team in the United States and you will learn from industry leaders.
You’ll take full ownership of client programs and be responsible for driving growth and pushing success against core KPIs. While we have production specialists for emails, we are looking for lifecycle managers to roll up their sleeves and own building logic, segmentation, and flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management
- Act as your clients’ main point of contact, developing strong relationships built on trust, results, and collaboration. We act as our clients’ partners and value relationship-building heavily in this role.
- Available to answer all Slacks and questions within 2 hours or less during working hours
- Communicate campaign progress, performance updates, and strategic recommendations in regular client meetings and reports.
- Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategies covering email, SMS, and other relevant retention channels following senior management guidance and internal best practices.
- Craft segment-specific campaigns that align with client objectives and target different stages of the customer journey (acquisition, onboarding, retention, reactivation).
- Build flows and segments that follow your vision
- Oversee production timelines, ensuring creative assets (copy, design) are delivered on schedule and align with brand guidelines.
- Campaign Performance & Optimization
- Leverage data-driven insights to optimize messaging, segmentation, timing, and content to improve KPIs
- Proactively identify new growth opportunities and present strategic proposals that enhance client ROI, adding to client roadmaps and testing documents.
- Team Coordination
- Collaborate closely with internal specialists to ensure seamless campaign production and launch.
- Lead internal kick-offs and debriefs, clarifying deliverables, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.
- Project Management + Compliance
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including strategic outlines, content calendars, ClickUp tasks, and performance dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM) and industry standards.
- Quality Assurance
- Must maintain a less than 1% error rate in deployments
- Utilize our dedicated QA staff to fully check your work every time for error-free deployments and builds
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Will happily consider candidates with no degree and solid experience
- 3+ years of professional experience in email marketing, CRM, or lifecycle marketing—preferably in an agency environment.
- Technical Skills
- Proficient with at least one ESP (e.g., Klaviyo, HubSpot, Marketo)
- Familiarity with segmentation, automation workflows, and A/B testing methodologies.
- Strong command of data analytics tools and the ability to interpret campaign performance metrics.
- A strong understanding of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, etc. is required for this role
- Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of translating technical insights into clear recommendations for clients and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities—able to juggle multiple campaigns, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Collaborative mindset and leadership qualities to guide both clients and internal teams.

Please note: accountability to campaign schedules is non-negotiable and may result in odd hours. For example, you cannot log off on a Friday without ensuring weekend campaigns are scheduled and ready to go and on-call hours may be required over certain holidays.
This role requires US working hours with flexible time zones.

Hiring Process
- Submit your resume and complete a short qualification questionnaire
- If you are selected, you’ll have a brief 15 minute interview with one of our team membesr
- Upon a successful screening interview, you will be asked to do a sample strategy project for a fake client. We do not use interview work and respect candidates in this process. We expect no more than an hour of your time.
- Once we’ve reviewed your project, the last step is a mock client call. You will be provided a fake set of data and information prior to the call, you will be expected to present it in a mock client environment.

Benefits and Employment Type
This role will begin as a 90-day contract converting into full-time. You will have 30-day check-ins to ensure you are progressing as expected. After 90 days and a successful evaluation, you will be converted into a traditional full-time employee.
During your contract period, you will not be eligible for benefits and must provide your own laptop/computer.
