Job Summary: Editors-in-chief are responsible for the strategic growth and development of their brand’s digital, print, and multimedia editorial products to ensure their place as a leading and trusted resource for the industry. They produce and delivery impactful commentary and analysis for their brands and strive to become recognized thought-leaders in their industries through podcasts, videos, live events, and speaking engagements. They oversee a staff of reporters, staff writers, and content strategists and actively collaborate with sales, audience development, and shared services teams across the company to serve their audience the highest quality content efficiently and effectively.
Essential Job Functions:
- Direct the strategic development of all editorial products for the brand, including print magazines, websites, digital products, research and information products, sponsored content, and executive conferences.
- Develop deep knowledge of and insight into the needs and interests of the target audience and demographics of the brand.
- Mentor staff on management, B2B writing, and best practices.
- Act as the brand’s representative at industry events (in-person and digital), including presentations, panel moderator, event host, client interactions, etc.
- Lead discussion of site/brand analytics to drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Regularly produce original articles, analyses, and/or columns on major events or trends in the industry.
- Effectively collaborate with shared services teams to develop content and align projects with brand.
- Coordinate closely with the sales department to align concepts and packages for webcasts, videos, e-newsletters, social media, and print with the needs and interests of the target audience.

Knowledge/Skill/Ability:
- U.S. Healthcare system knowledge strongly preferred.
- Strong strategic planning skills.
- Ability to balance strategic and tactical operations.
- Ability to work positively with sales and publishing teams and to represent the brand with advertisers and sponsors.
- Strong public speaking skills.
- Ability to collaborate across brands and departments.
- Strong leadership/management skills.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and HTML/CSS.
- Experience with digital and print content development as well as production.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related field or 15 years industry experience.
We are excited to share the salary range for this position is $80,000 – $90,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.
If you are hired for this position at Endeavor, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as hiring location, skillset, prior years’ experience, relevant education, certain degrees and certifications, training, and market considerations. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future & continued salary growth.
