Editor for a Groundbreaking Psychology Project – $30.00 – $50.00 per hour
I am looking for an extraordinary editor to help shape and refine a large-scale book — nearly 1,000 pages — that presents a unifying theory of human psychology with the potential to reshape how we think about behavior, well-being, and culture.
The work simplifies human psychology to a single quantifiable variable and pulls together decades of research from psychology, behavioral health, and social science to show that this idea has, in many ways, been “blowing in the wind” all along.
This is not just an academic book. It is designed to be rigorous enough for clinicians and researchers, yet accessible to curious young adults — a blueprint meant to influence both thought leaders and everyday readers.
What I Am Looking For
- Mastery of organization & synthesis – Ability to help structure a massive, complex manuscript into a clear, compelling narrative.
- Deep understanding of psychology or social science – Academic grounding (or equivalent experience) strongly preferred.
- Research and analytical skills – Comfort integrating existing studies and literature to strengthen arguments and connect this theory to established work.
- Editorial excellence – Ability to translate big ideas into writing that is digestible, engaging, and memorable.
- Excitement for big, paradigm-shifting work – This is a project for someone who wants to help shape a bold, ambitious idea that could change how we think about mental health and human flourishing.
The Project
- Scope: Editing, organization, and research integration for a ~1,000-page manuscript.
- Tone & Style: Serious and evidence-based, but written for a broad audience. Think Malcolm Gladwell.
- Goal: To produce a book that is both intellectually credible and widely readable.
If you are excited by big ideas and want to help bring a potentially paradigm-shifting theory to life, I would love to connect.
