Your Opportunity
As Content Editor, your primary responsibility is to create and maintain reference content for the academic, public, and school library markets. You will accomplish this by reviewing and editing articles on diverse topics for currency, accuracy, and overall quality. You will proactively identify opportunities to improve quality and streamline team processes to provide value to internal and external customers.
This remote position is U.S.-based only (excluding U.S. territories).
What You’ll Do
- Update and edit content according to editorial guidelines
- Use research skills to ensure content is accurate and original
- Think creatively and adjust processes to maximize efficiency and value and reduce cost
- Execute quality improvement projects
- Contribute to team standups and initiatives
Your Team:
You will be welcomed as a member of the Proprietary Content team (a team of 8 people) and the larger Content Management organization. About You
- 0-2 years of experience in an editing or publishing environment
- Demonstrated research skills and language skills (especially grammar, editing, and writing)
- Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style and MLA Handbook
