We’re in an exciting phase of growth and seeking a freelance Direct Response Copywriter to help us reach and convert new audiences through high-performing, on-brand ad creative and landing pages.
Location: Remote (EST Time Zone)
Reports to: Creative Director
Currently looking for a freelance Copywriter to work approximately 15 hours per week (to start.)
About the Role
As a Direct Response Copywriter, you’ll write copy that converts without sounding like it was written by a robot on a deadline. You’ll collaborate closely with our Creative Director and Marketing teams to craft clear, compelling copy that moves audiences from scrolling to clicking to checking out.
This role requires a deep understanding of performance marketing, customer psychology, and what makes someone say “I need that serum – now.”
Responsibilities
- Write compelling, high-converting copy for paid social ads, video scripts, and landing pages
- Develop messaging that captures attention, clearly communicates benefits, and drives action
- Partner with designers to ensure copy and visuals work together seamlessly
- Stay on top of performance data and optimize copy based on what’s actually working
- Contribute ideas for creative testing – subject lines, hooks, angles, headlines, CTAs
- Maintain brand voice while flexing tone to speak to various audience segments
- Ensure all copy meets compliance standards for skincare advertising
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience writing direct response copy, ideally for DTC beauty, skincare, or wellness
- Strong portfolio with examples of paid ad and landing page copy that performs
- Deep understanding of copy structures that drive action (PAS, AIDA, objection-handling, etc.)
- Ability to distill complex product info into easy, benefit-focused messaging
- Comfortable writing multiple variations and rapid testing copy angles
- Collaborative, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, feedback-rich environment
- Passion for clean beauty and a love for skincare
What Success Looks Like
- Ads and landing pages hit or exceed KPIs (CTR, ROAS, CVR, etc.)
- Messaging feels fresh, elevated, and unmistakably Naked & Thriving
- Copy is delivered on time, on brief, and optimized for performance
- You help the team learn what resonates – and what doesn’t – through smart testing
