The Digital and Social Media Copywriter/Editor develops, refines, and maintains high-quality written content that aligns with brand voice, strategic goals, and audience needs across digital and print platforms. This role combines creativity with precision, ensuring that every piece of writing—from web copy to technical documentation—engages readers, communicates clearly, and reinforces organizational credibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, edit, and proofread compelling content for websites, digital campaigns, case studies, testimonials, programmatic documentation, and marketing collateral.
- Develop clear, concise, and persuasive messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and subject matter experts to ensure message consistency and editorial excellence across all channels.
- Edit and adapt content for diverse formats, including social media, newsletters, reports, and multimedia scripts.
- Uphold brand voice and editorial standards across all materials.
- Conduct research and interviews to gather information and develop authentic, data-driven narratives.
- Support the creation of annual reports, thought leadership articles, and internal or client communications.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with client or regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in copywriting, editing, or communications within digital media, marketing, or public sector contexts.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, digital storytelling, and content strategy.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a flair for turning complex ideas into engaging, readable content.
- Ability to work under deadlines, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively across teams.
This is a 1099 position that may be full-time, part-time, or intermittent based on the desire of the individual and the availability of work. Work is primarily remote.
