Objective
The Copywriter at Truly Free Market is responsible for crafting compelling, persuasive, and brand-aligned content that supports Truly Free Market’s marketing goals across B2B and B2C segments. This role focuses on creating impactful copy for seller communication, consumer engagement, newsletters, in-app notifications, and marketing campaigns. The Copywriter will also optimize content for different audiences and conduct A/B testing to improve conversion rates, supporting both consumer-focused and seller-focused initiatives. They will also enhance existing sellers’ product and social copy, creating comprehensive communication guidelines and SOPs for sellers to follow when listing their products and posting captions on the Truly Free Market Social platform.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
Content Creation & Strategy
- Develop engaging copy for various marketing channels including seller communications, consumer content, newsletters, in-app notifications, and website content.
- Craft messaging for feature launches, promotional campaigns, and ads tailored for B2B and B2C audiences, ensuring alignment with marketing goals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies that engage and convert Truly Free Market’s target audiences, including both eco-conscious consumers and business partners.
Optimizing Seller & Consumer Communication
- Write and refine seller-focused content to communicate product features, marketing best practices, and industry insights, helping sellers to optimize their sales strategies.
- Create clear and engaging consumer-facing content that enhances the user experience and fosters loyalty.
- Develop and update seller best practice guides to support B2B partners in maximizing their engagement and effectiveness on Truly Free Market’s platform.
- Edit and improve sellers’ product listings and social copy to enhance clarity, appeal, and effectiveness.
- Develop and implement communication guidelines and SOPs for sellers, covering product listings, captions for Truly Free Market Social, and other marketing communications.
Newsletters, In-App Push Notifications, and Messaging for Feature Launches
- Write newsletter content that informs and engages both consumer and seller audiences, aligning with key marketing objectives.
- Develop compelling in-app push notification copy that prompts user engagement, feature adoption, and retention.
- Create targeted messaging for new feature launches, ensuring both sellers and consumers understand the value and utility of new offerings.
Content for Campaigns and Ads: B2B vs. B2C
- Tailor content for B2B versus B2C audiences, adapting tone, style, and messaging to address the unique needs of each segment.
- Write ad copy for digital campaigns that promote Truly FreeMarket’s products and services across various platforms, with a focus on conversion optimization.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure ads and other visual content align with Truly Free Market’s brand voice and messaging.
A/B Testing & CTA Optimization
- Conduct A/B testing on calls-to-action (CTAs) and other critical copy elements to determine the most effective language, format, and positioning for maximizing engagement and conversions.
- Analyze the results of content tests and iteratively optimize copy to improve performance across all marketing channels.
- Use data insights to adjust messaging strategies for different audience segments and continuously improve content effectiveness.
Brand Voice & Consistency
- Maintain and develop Truly Free Market’s brand voice across all written content, ensuring messaging is consistent and authentic.
- Adapt the brand voice to suit different channels and audience segments, while preserving the core brand identity.
- Edit and proofread all content to ensure it meets quality standards and aligns with Truly Free Market’s guidelines.
Project Management & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, design, and digital marketing teams to ensure cohesive and effective content execution across all channels.
- Manage multiple writing projects, ensuring that content is delivered on time and in alignment with marketing calendars.
- Regularly communicate with stakeholders to update them on project progress and any adjustments to the content strategy.
Research & Market Trends
- Stay informed on industry trends, sustainability topics, and copywriting best practices to keep Truly Free Market’s content fresh and relevant.
- Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape and identify opportunities to position Truly Free Market as a leader in the eco-conscious product space.
- Regularly review competitor content, identifying new ideas to differentiate Truly Free Market’s messaging.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years of copywriting experience with a focus on B2B and B2C marketing, preferably in a digital or content marketing role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and experience with SEO and A/B testing tools such as Google Optimize, SEMrush, or similar.
Writing Skills: Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with keen attention to detail and an adaptable tone for different audiences.
Soft Skills: Creative thinker, strong collaborator, and excellent communicator with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred: Experience with eco-friendly or sustainable brands and a background in both B2B and B2C content creation.
