Copywriter Contract Role – Content Design
Location: Remote
Overview
We’re looking for a contract Copywriter who excels at crafting compelling B2B marketing copy across a variety of campaigns, channels, and touchpoints. You’ll work within the Content Design team, collaborating with content leads, designers, and marketing stakeholders to execute digital copy that integrates seamlessly with design to bring campaigns to life. You’ll play a key role in shaping brand voice, maintaining consistency, and translating business objectives into actionable marketing messages across multiple audiences. The ideal candidate sets the creative bar high, likes sinking their teeth into complex concepts, and has experience writing lively, purpose-driven content that is tailored to each stage of the funnel.
Primary Responsibilities
· Develop and refine clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for a range of channels and audiences, from product marketing and lifecycle emails to ecommerce landing pages and educational articles.
· Collaborate cross-functionally to create cohesive, user-centered content that complements the visual design.
· Maintain consistency in tone, style, and voice across all content.
· Edit, proofread, and update copy through an iterative and collaborative process.
· Partner with stakeholders across multiple departments to ensure messaging aligns with broader company and product initiatives.
· Contribute to content strategy by identifying opportunities to improve user experience and audience engagement.
· Manage multiple projects at once, meet tight deadlines, and work in a dynamic cross-team environment.
Minimum Requirements
· Portfolio showcasing copywriting work demonstrating strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
· Ability to create clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for digital experiences, with a focus on B2B messaging and business outcomes.
· Experience working collaboratively with designers and stakeholders to deliver cohesive content.
– Experience with AEM authoring or similar content management systems.
· Proven ability to adapt tone, style, and messaging to align with brand guidelines and audience needs.
· Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering polished, error-free content.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify opportunities to improve user experience through content.
· A passion for storytelling and an eye for enhancing content effectiveness and audience engagement.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred qualifications:
· 5+ years of copywriting experience inclusive of digital channels such as email and landing pages
· Experience with a range of content formats and styles, with portfolio examples
· Experience working in an agile business environment, with portfolio examples
· Portfolio inclusive of B2B copywriting work showing the full funnel experience: from brand-forward copy to conversion copy
· Articulate about copywriting as a practice, and how it fits into content design
· Functional knowledge of:
o Design tools (Figma, Canva)
o Collaboration tools (Miro, Confluence, Monday)
o Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to generate copy to demonstrate and test with audiences and stakeholders in a compelling way
· Experience reviewing analytics, and iterating to increase performance.
· Familiarity with SEO best practices and the ability to optimize copy for search engines.
· Experience working with SaaS or product design teams, and/or in the hospitality industry
