About The Role

We are seeking an inspired and talented Copywriter to join our dynamic Digital Studio team. This role is pivotal in shaping our digital presence, particularly around event-specific experiences and websites such as oktane.com. Reporting directly to the Digital Copy Lead, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including designers, strategists, content creators, and internal stakeholders to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strategic thinking, and a passion for digital storytelling to help elevate Okta’s brand and engagement efforts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence how we communicate complex technical concepts through engaging, innovative digital content, ensuring alignment with our brand voice and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • BA or BFA degree in Copywriting, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 4-6+ years of professional experience in copywriting, preferably within a creative agency or client-side marketing team
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating digital content creation and copywriting expertise
  • Hands-on experience developing creative solutions for websites and digital platforms
  • Deep understanding of content strategy, user experience, and storytelling techniques
  • Excellent QA skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with the ability to pitch ideas effectively
  • Passion for language, design, and innovative digital experiences
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Copy Lead and cross-functional teams on conceptual ideation, content strategy, and execution for digital campaigns and experiences
  • Create compelling copy that aligns with brand voice and resonates with target audiences across various digital touchpoints
  • Partner with designers and utilize tools like Figma to develop innovative and engaging digital experiences
  • Leverage industry knowledge and audience insights to craft content that drives engagement and conversions
  • Maintain and apply Okta’s voice and tone standards consistently across all projects
  • Participate actively in creative brainstorming sessions, providing and receiving constructive feedback
  • Understand user journeys and personas to develop targeted and effective content strategies
  • Work proactively with internal teams, freelancers, and agencies to deliver high-quality digital content
  • Test, analyze, and iterate content based on analytics and SEO considerations to optimize performance
