About the Role:
Disruptive Advertising is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Content Copywriter with a strong grasp of SEO best practices to support our marketing initiatives for clients. In this role, you’ll be responsible for crafting compelling, conversion-driven website and blog content that helps drive organic traffic. This role will support all of our teams, including Ecommerce, B2B, and B2C.
This is a contractor position. While this role is project-based, we anticipate a consistent workload of approximately 30–40 hours per week, depending on business needs and mutual availability.
What you will do:
- Write and edit website content and blog posts that are optimized for search engines and large language models, and aligned with brand voice and business goals
- Conduct keyword research and implement on-page SEO tactics (headlines, meta descriptions, internal linking, etc.)
- Collaborate with SEO strategists, designers, and account managers to develop and refine content strategies
- Proofreading content to check for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. Fact-check content like dates and statistics to ensure all published content is accurate for their readers.
- Maintain consistent tone, grammar, and brand messaging across all content
What you will need:
- Proven experience in AP style copywriting, preferably in a digital marketing agency or in-house digital marketing environment.
- 2+ years of experience writing SEO-optimized content
- Solid understanding of on-page SEO and content strategy
- Perform research on customer personas and consumer sentiment (thoughts & trends)
- Capacity to adjust writing style and tone to specific client target personas/audiences
- Familiarity with tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, SurferSEO, or Clearscope
- Strong attention to detail, grammar, and editing
- Self-motivated, responsive, and comfortable with deadlines
Bonus Points:
- Knowledge of Google Analytics or other data platforms to inform content strategy
- Portfolio of published blog and web content demonstrating SEO results
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms.
