Content Writer & Editorial Lead (Contract) – $30 – $40 / hr

About The Role

The Content Writer & Editorial Lead is the primary content creator and editorial lead. This role ensures quality, consistency, and voice across all written content.

While others may contribute copy, this role sets the editorial standard.

What You’ll Do

Content Creation

  • Write content including:
    • Blogs & Press Releases
    • Long-form guides/checklists/e-books
    • Landing Page Copy
    • Video Scripts
    • Website Copy
    • Sales Promotions messaging
    • Email copy for drip and nurture campaigns
    • Social Post messaging
  • Adapt tone and depth by channel and audience

Editorial Leadership

  • Develop and maintain content calendars for assigned initiatives
  • Plan themes and content formats
  • Coordinate handoffs to:
    • Graphic Designer (visuals)
    • Content Optimization Specialist (SEO & publishing)
  • Deliver content in accordance with agreed timelines

Quality Control

  • Maintain brand voice and messaging consistency
  • Edit and refine content from contributors
  • Align content deliverables to campaign and program objectives provided by the Company

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong long-form and short-form writing skills
  • Experience leading editorial direction or content planning
  • Ability to write for multiple audiences and funnel stages
  • High attention to clarity, structure, and tone
  • Comfortable collaborating across execution roles

1099 Contract Structure & Compensation

This is a contract-based consulting engagement compensated at an hourly rate of $30-$40, depending on experience. The Consultant will invoice for hours worked in connection with agreed-upon project scopes.

The anticipated time commitment is estimated to be up to approximately 30-35 hours per week depending on active project scopes; however, hours are not guaranteed and may vary.
