Content Writer & Developer – $45,000 – $55,000/year

About the Role
You’ll join our Programs Team and report to the Director of Content Development, working closely with our Senior Content Developer and faculty to develop:
- Online personal development programs and coaching content
- Inspirational keynote scripts and live event experiences
- On-demand video scripts and lesson outlines
- Emails, intros, and client engagement materials
- At the heart of everything: storytelling, voice, and values.
What You’ll Do
- Write compelling, inspirational content: scripts, lessons, outlines, guides, and copy
- Use metaphor, story, and parable to make life-changing ideas memorable
- Collaborate with faculty to distill complex ideas into emotionally resonant messages
- Research relevant stories, quotes, and current events to deepen impact
- Adapt long-form teachings into shorter, audience-friendly formats
- Script presentations and videos for Brave Thinking Institute faculty that weave a golden thread throughout the content
- Contribute to live event content for both in-person and virtual formats
- Use AI tools (like ChatGPT) to support ideation—not replace creativity
- Proofread and polish content to a high standard of excellence

Requirements
Education / Experience:
Minimum High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Skills / Functional Competencies:
- Experience with long form and short form writing (portfolio required)
- Inspirational or personal development writing experience
- Strong proofreading, grammar, and editing skills
- Confident with tech tools like PowerPoint, Google Drive, Google Docs & Sheets, and Asana—or eager to learn
- Ability to synthesize information from a wide variety of sources
- Competence with AI and custom GPT tools
- Strong research skills, verification of facts, and discernment of truth vs fiction
- Bonus: familiarity with video scripting and editing or presentation development
- Bonus: experience with Canva
- Bonus: background in coaching, facilitation, or spiritual teaching
Work Environment & Expectations:
- Home office (tele-commute/work from home)
- Regular business hours 8:30am – 5:30pm (40 hours/week) (PST Company Hours)
- Some nights & weekends as needed for events and launches
- Periodic travel may be required for in-person events and filming
Final candidates will be asked to complete a small project to demonstrate their skills, for which they will be compensated.
