Content Writer (Contract) – Summit K12 – $40 an hour
JOB TITLE: Content Writer
LOCATION: Remote
COMPENSATION: $40/hr

From English learners, multilingual students, bilingual students and dual language learners who are struggling to read or write, Summit K12’s online, standards-based supplemental curriculum will close gaps and ensure growth for all students.
We are seeking a creative and dedicated remote Content Writer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of English language development. This role involves creating curriculum-aligned materials that support Emergent Bilinguals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Writing and Communication:- Strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to create clear, engaging, and age-appropriate content for K–12
Technical Skills:- Proficiency in tools like Google Workspace and LMS platforms
- Familiarity with digital content creation (e.g., slides, videos, interactive tools)
Research and Accuracy:- Ability to research topics and ensure content is accurate and up-to-date
- Knowledge of educational state standards
- Knowledge of English Language Development
Creativity and Engagement:- Create interactive and engaging materials for diverse learners, especially Emergent Bilinguals
- Create unique materials without the use of AI or other technology
Collaboration:- Work well with a team of subject matter experts and editors
- Open to giving and receiving feedback
- Apply revisions and apply to future content
Organization and Professionalism:- Complete projects and meet deadlines
- Adapt to changing needs and ensure high-quality work
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related field
- Experience in curriculum writing, teaching, or educational content development
- Prepared students to take an English language proficiency test
