Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Content Marketing Manager to lead and execute our content marketing initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing content and content strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation. You will collaborate closely with marketing team leaders and cross-functional teams, including digital & SEO teams and sales members to create compelling, on-brand content across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating compelling content tailored for enterprise-level B2B prospects in the healthcare industry, particularly within the software solutions and technology sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Copywriting & Content Creation: Responsible for developing, writing, and editing various types of content, including sales decks, one-pagers, blog posts, white papers, case studies, eBooks, video scripts, infographics, ad copy, articles, press releases, and social media posts.
- Content Strategy: Works closely with the marketing leadership to develop a content strategy and timeline aligned with business objectives. Manages and maintains the content marketing calendar across campaigns and key timeframes. Partners with the digital marketing team to oversee content distribution across targeted channels and audience segments.
- Sales Enablement: Write for and maintain RFP response library; manage versioning and formatting needs for RFP deliverables.
- Speaker & Pitch Submission Research & Management: This role involves researching, writing, and submitting abstracts for articles, speaking engagements, and award nominations. This individual will also track relevant deadlines, requirements, and criteria to ensure timely and strategic submissions.
- SEO and Optimization: Collaborate with the digital team to align content with SEO best practices; ensure content follows established keyword strategies and is optimized for search engines as determined by the digital team.
- Content Distribution: Provides all copy material needed for distribution – manages routing for review and approval, adheres to formatting needs, branding, and timelines. Assists with content distribution across various platforms including social media, email campaigns, and partner websites to maximize reach and impact.
- Understands customer personas in order to create compelling, targeted content.
- Conducts internal interview with SMEs for thought leadership pieces and as needed.
- Follows and improves the brand tone and voice for all content.
- Analyzes data and identifies opportunities to strengthen the content strategy.
Requirements:
- Excellent writing, editing, communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, with a proven track record of developing successful content and content strategies.
- Understanding of SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
- Experience using content management systems (CMS), marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms.
- Experience with managing content creation for B2B audiences, experience in the healthcare or technology sector is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with video content creation, webinars, and podcasts is a plus.
- Proficiency in M.S. Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
