Content Marketing Copywriter – $60,000 – $65,000 a year
Some people can write, and some people can market; we need someone who can do both. AMPED’s mission is to eradicate marketing mediocrity, and a core service we offer our clients is effective marketing copywriting. We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and enthusiastic content marketing copywriter to join our team. This individual will play an essential role in serving our growing clientele, developing marketing content that aligns with their brand voice and drives engagement across various marketing channels. The content marketing copywriter will work closely with cross-functional teams to create content that supports the marketing goals of each client and project. AMPED is a fully-remote company that requires ongoing engagement via digital platforms.

Objectives
- Educate and inform audiences with valuable information that positions brands as a trusted industry authority
- Foster authentic connection with readers and prompt desired actions
- Boost brand awareness and generate leads for clients
- Align content with the client’s strategic objectives to assist in nurturing prospects through the buyer’s journey
- Enhance clients’ search engine rankings and drive organic traffic to websites
Responsibilities
- Strategic Research: Conduct thorough research to understand content marketing best practices, client offerings, industry trends, competitor activity, and target audiences, incorporating findings into relevant, valuable content.
- Critical Thinking: Exercise strategic and creative thinking when approaching projects to put forth the best drafts that apply best practices and the latest methodologies.
- Content Development: Write and edit B2B and B2C content of various types, including blogs, emails, social media posts, newsletters, case studies, webpages, and whitepapers that are clear, relevant, and compelling to the target audience.
- Brand Consistency: Apply different brand voices, writing styles, and messaging guidelines based on each client, creating a cohesive brand experience across all channels.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Collaborate with the digital marketing team and incorporate SEO and CRO strategies to optimize content for search engines and conversions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Communicate with teams across the organization, including client services and design, to gather information and ideas, align content with expectations, and deliver copy that supports other department needs.
- Quality Control: Proofread and edit all written materials to ensure high standards of grammar, punctuation, clarity, relevance, and effectiveness.
- Feedback Application: Receive feedback from peer reviewers, managers, and clients with a receptive attitude, incorporating suggestions as appropriate and learning from the interactions for future application.
- Team Engagement: Interact as an active participant of the AMPED team during business hours through our digital communication channels and organizational virtual meetings, including contributing ideas for process improvements and enhanced effectiveness.
- Project Management: Stay aware of project timelines, work proactively on multiple clients and assignments, prioritize appropriately, and submit deliverables on time or early.
- Client Interface: Communicate with clients professionally in meetings or e-mail to gain direction, insight, and feedback, own the development of your projects, and make recommendations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in content marketing, including in an agency or similar environment serving multiple clients
- Relevant Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field
- Language Skills: Exceptional command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation, with proven ability to produce clear, accurate, and professional content free of errors
- Additional Proficiencies: Knowledgeable of AP style guidelines and SEO principles that apply to marketing content
- Professional Commitment: Dedication to excellence through meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and a drive to exceed expectations in every aspect of the role
- Strong Portfolio: A collection of work samples that demonstrates capabilities and effectiveness across different content marketing types and channels
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Monday.com, Slack, and Google Workspace
- General understanding of business operations and challenges across various industries
- Experience writing for B2B companies
