Certified Resume Writer
(IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS, IT MAY SAY CLOSED BUT WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS UNTIL 1/15. READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY.)
Nationally Certified Resume + Creative Writer (Medical Sales / Healthcare Focus)
At Traction Resume, we’re looking for a fiercely curious, deeply empathetic creative contract writer who is obsessed with understanding what makes people tick and why that matters to the people they want to hire them. This person is equally excited to be with a company that is on a growth trajectory.
This storyteller is passionate about translating that insight into powerful, human-centered resumes and personal branding materials that help medical sales and healthcare leaders reclaim confidence at pivotal career moments. If one of this person’s secret claims to fame is regularly noting typos in the novels they read, we’ll have *a lot* in common.
This role is for a certified resume writer, a natural deep thinker, and eager collaborator — someone who stokes the fire of others and knows how to earn trust quickly; ask questions that illicit backstory, context, and character; extract character and credibility from complex careers; and write with clarity, urgency, and grace—especially when clients are navigating fear, transition, or high-stakes opportunity.
Ideal candidates bring proven past success in medical sales and/or healthcare environments, a strong grasp of industry language and expectations, and hands-on experience in client or account management, balancing precision, professionalism, and *high-emotional intelligence* while delivering exceptional work under deadlines that matter.
Grace – Integrity – Urgency…are our pillars and if they’re on the side of no-AI in personal branding, we’ll get along swimmingly!
Due to our client base and consistent collaboration, only nationally-certified, US-based writers will be considered. Fair warning: if AI is detected in your materials, you’re unlikely to be considered. I will not be considering Linkedin applicants. To be considered, you must follow the directions below:
IF THIS IS YOU:
- Please send your non-AI enhanced resume, cover letter, and references to Hello@TractionResume.com to be considered.
- Applications will be accepted by 1/15/2026.
- If selected, the candidate will speak with Claire directly and in-depth regarding pay, projects, and role details.

About Traction
At Traction Resume, we’re privileged to hold the hand of medical sales leaders in their moments of greatest change — often, when they’re at the most fearful, uncertain, and stressful times in their lives. Career uncertainty.
Other times, at their most momentous, thrilling, and successful points. Career highs.
And for the many clients who have ridden their career highs and lows with Traction over the years, it’s both.
They’ve climbed to the summit of pride and success, gulping in that crisp air, yet also had their hands wear out, sliding down the rock face 500 feet above the canyon floor and they’re desperately looking for a hold before they smash to the bottom.
Seemingly unshakable business gurus and global leaders who you’d never expect to quake in those moments. Until they look to us to regain career confidence and belief — because our team believed in them all along.
That’s Traction.
We do it different and it delivers results like:
…Taking our client from individual contributor to Division Director and a $500K pay raise against fierce competition.
…Helping a Regional Manager believe his value again leading to a CCO spot with two companies, seamlessly
…Guiding first-time layoff survivors (many with 2+ College-aged kids) through rebrand to offers within 45 days.
…Exponentially growing our impact by supporting career coaching programs behind the scenes with our high-end resume services baked into their programs.
It’s because of this sacred responsibility, that we hold ourselves to higher standards than most: we act with integrity, move with urgency, and show grace in every interaction.
Grace. It’s one more kind word, extra mile, and maintaining professional tone with a client who’s been cross and a little rough through the editing process because her dearest friend died right after she engaged us.
Integrity. It’s finding areas where we can pepper in more character details in an opener, an additional tip on how to pause for gravity when closing an interview, an industry insight we saw in a press release we thought aligned with their career goals — simply because we thought it may help on their journey.
Urgency. It’s going all-hands-on-deck to support a suddenly market-launched group of 500 executives, many of whom are experiencing their first and sudden layoff after a 15 to 20-year run of success.
All the while we remember that assuredness we deliver to our clients — that supportive we’ve-got-you-hold on that rock face — knowing the impact it will have extends far beyond us. And, far beyond them. And on to every single patient and provider they influence going forward.
Because the truth is, my friends, we’re all ‘the patient’ one day.
So, the better we take care of others, the more we all thrive.
For these reasons,
Integrity. Urgency. Grace.
are what we’re all about.
We’re dedicated to delivering the absolute pinnacle of quality. To supporting, challenging, and fostering greatness in one another. And, to becoming the best we can be, so the impact of our clients outlast all else.
