About the Role
We’re a boutique social media + brand strategy agency that helps companies solidify their messaging and content foundations through in-depth brand books and social media content playbooks.
We’re looking for a seasoned Brand Messaging Copywriter (ideally with agency experience) who can collaborate with us and our clients to bring these playbooks to life. You’ll work within our established framework, but also bring your own expertise to refine voice, messaging, and brand positioning.
This is a project-based role (~75 hours per project) with potential for ongoing work.
For this project, you must have an interest in and working knowledge of women’s sexual liberation and women’s empowerment.
What You’ll Do
- Sit in on messaging workshops/meetings with clients and our team.
- Actively ask thoughtful questions during client meetings using our unique messaging framework to help draw out the insights that shape the brand book
- Collaborate within our framework to define:
- Goals & Vision
- Mantra
- Beliefs & Core Values
- Brand Story
- Brand Personality
- Point of View (POV)
- Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
- Brand Voice & Tone + Language Guide
- Target Personas (including challenges, struggles, aspirations)
- Content Buckets & Pillars
- Content Formats
- Write the copy for brand books and content playbooks, delivered in Google Docs (no design required).
- Create content examples (hooks, captions, short-form samples) that demonstrate how messaging translates into social media content.
- Provide input on strategic direction while ensuring the final framework stays cohesive.
- Ensure all messaging is tailored, client-specific, and free of generic or cookie-cutter language.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years experience in copywriting for branding, strategy, or creative agencies.
- Deep expertise in messaging strategy and positioning.
- Skilled at translating high-level brand concepts into clear frameworks and practical examples that show how the messaging framework translates to social content.
- Strong interviewer/facilitator skills — able to guide conversations and extract insights from clients.Adaptable writer — comfortable shifting voice across multiple client industries.Confident collaborator in both client-facing and internal meetings.
- Reliable with project-based deadlines and able to work independently.
Prefer-to-Have
- Familiarity with social media content strategy and digital marketing.
- Experience writing for both B2B and B2C audiences.
Scope & Commitment
- Each project estimated at ~75-100 hours.
- Hired on a flat-fee, per-project basis ~ $2000-$2250
- Deliverables include full brand book + content playbook copy using our framework.
- Ongoing opportunities for future projects.
This is an ideal role for an experienced brand copywriter who not only writes compelling messaging but also knows how to draw it out of clients through smart questions and collaborative conversations.
