Beauty Editor (Remote – USA)

We’re looking for a  beauty editor to join us on a freelance basis – someone with taste, speed, and serious attention to detail.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a fast-growing, cruelty-free beauty media brand that’s still founder-led and bootstrapped. We’re not churning out fluff or AI junk. We care about quality, ethics, and content that actually matters.

We’re starting with 3–5 articles to test fit and flow.

If it clicks, we’ve got more ready to go – this could turn into consistent, long-term freelance work for the right person.

What You’ll Do:

• Review pre-written articles for structure, clarity, and tone
• Sharpen intros and outros so the piece lands
• Double-check all product links – accuracy, availability, and correct ordering
• Ensure the article flows logically and holds interest
• Edit for grammar, style, tone, and brand voice
• Maintain clean formatting and prep for WordPress (ideally load it into drafts on WP)
• Use AI tools if helpful, but this role needs your eye – not more robots

What We’re Looking For:

• USA-based (English as your first language)
• Experience editing or writing beauty content (this is non-negotiable)
• Deep familiarity with skincare, makeup, ingredients, and brand claims
• Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
• Reliable, responsive, and easy to work with

Bonus Points If You:

• Actually understand cruelty-free claims (and care about them)
• Know basic SEO and formatting best practices
• Have an eye for what performs and what builds trust

Compensation:
We don’t have a fixed number right now – let us know your best hourly editing rate when you apply. If it’s a fit, we’ll find a solid rhythm.
