Today, HubSpot Media content reaches 50 million people every month through such popular franchises as The Hustle, My First Million, and dozens of other YouTube channels, newsletters, podcasts, creator partnerships, blogs and more.
As our AI Specialist and Engineer, you’ll join a specialized pod on our Media team that’s focused on:
- Identifying existing or net-new Media use cases where AI (agents, prompts, systems, tools, internal microapps, et al.) have the opportunity to improve the efficiency, personalization and/or effectiveness of our content, lead magnets and audience development work
- Prioritizing and executing against a roadmap of Media-focused initiatives
- Supporting overall AI adoption, training, and ensuring smooth integration of AI tools and projects into existing Media workflows
- Conducting ongoing business impact analyses to drive iteration
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with content and monetization teams to identify opportunities where AI prompt strategies, tools, or agents/microapps can empower our teams and unlock growth, while maintaining high creative standards
- Use knowledge of AI tools, popular LLMs and effective prompting, and web services APIs to create internal AI solutions based on these opportunities. Work with Media and cross-functional leads to ideate, capture trends and insights, and report on progress
- Partner with HubSpot Media’s producers, editors, marketers and creative teams to both conceptualize and prototype AI-assisted projects; and ensure their outputs align with the editorial, business and audience expectations
- Establish and maintain a prompt engineering playbook, documenting tested prompts, effective structures, and user guidelines to ensure consistent output across different teams and use cases
- Constantly research and test new external technologies and vendor solutions to stay ahead of industry trends and improve the impact (and fidelity) of our AI efforts
- Develop workflows that effectively combine human expertise with AI capabilities to enhance human creativity and judgment
- Work in an AI-focused media pod made up of yourself, a PM and a business / data analyst to think through, plan and execute new AI projects
- Provide technical thought leadership and actively contribute to the strategic goals for the group and our cross-Marketing AI strategies at large
Skills:
- [Required] Demonstrated record of developing agents or other AI apps (e.g. using Agent.ai, LangChain, AutoGPT, or similar), creating and refining effective prompts for specialized use cases, and a deep and technical understanding of popular AI tools and LLMs – and how to best harness their full potential
- Have experience in tools as follows:

- [Required] Thorough hands-on prompting experience with Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini
- Integrating third party APIs into relevant LLMs and no/low-code platforms like Zapier, Make or Bubble
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and ability to integrate third-party services
- Working with common web development technologies, languages (e.g. Python), and frameworks
- Experience with marketing technology (e.g., workflow automation tools, CDPs, CRMs, Data Warehouses, etc.)
- Some prior experience or interest in content and media and using content or marketing management platforms
- Have strong project management and communication skills. This is a requirement. You must be able to effectively communicate technical topics and areas of progress/blockage to both functional and technical audiences – switching between context and modes of communication as appropriate.
- Have a growth mindset; a love for learning, figuring out how things work and evolving what exists today – and a passion for AI that drives them to stay on the cutting edge of thought leadership in the space
- Are detail-oriented and take pride in thorough testing and documentation. Demonstrate a logical and scalable solutioning mindset
- Are a great collaborator, able to manage relationships with many stakeholders across the business

Cash compensation range: 165000-265000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
