Writer and Editor
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Writer and Editor to join our creative team. Duties
- Develop original content aligned with editorial guidelines, ensuring consistency in tone, style, and messaging across platforms
- Edit and proofread articles, reports, proposals, and other written materials for clarity, grammar, punctuation, and style adherence using AP Style and Chicago Manual of Style standards
- Conduct thorough research to gather accurate information supporting content pieces
- Fact-check all data and references to maintain credibility and reliability of published materials
- Manage multiple editorial projects simultaneously, coordinating deadlines and collaborating with writers and stakeholders
- Utilize content management systems to upload, organize, and update content efficiently
- Apply storytelling techniques to craft engaging narratives that resonate with target audiences
Experience
- Proven experience in content writing, editing, or journalism with a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility in writing styles
- Familiarity with editorial guidelines such as AP Style and Chicago Manual of Style
- Proficiency in copy editing, proofreading, and fact checking to ensure high-quality output
- Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear narratives
- Experience managing editorial projects from conception through publication using content management systems
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of technical writing, creative writing, and proposal writing is a plus
