Social Media Consultant – $12-$16/hour
This short-term position is responsible for building awareness of Delta Phi Epsilon at Johnson & Wales University, Charlotte through strategic social media outreach and engagement. Working remotely, the consultant will create compelling content, connect with prospective students online, and cultivate relationships with potential new members prior to formal recruitment. The primary goal is to develop a pipeline of qualified Potential New Members (PNMs) that can be seamlessly transitioned to the on-site recruitment consultants upon their arrival. This short-term position plays a key role in the success of Delta Phi Epsilon at JWU, Charlotte.
This is an ideal for a recent graduate who enjoys social media, recruitment, relationship building, and creating authentic connections.

KEY ROLES (ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Develop and execute a 6 – 8 week social media content plan specifically for the Gamma Psi chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon.
- Create engaging Instagram, TikTok, and other platform content that showcases the Delta Phi Epsilon experience.
- Monitor trends and adapt content to resonate with current college students.
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule throughout the campaign.
- Foster authentic conversations that generate interest in Delta Phi Epsilon.
- Build and maintain a lead list of 75–100 qualified Potential New Members (PNMs) prior to recruitment.
- Track conversations, interactions, and interest levels of PNMs.
- Provide introductions and detailed notes to the recruitment consultants before they arrive on campus.
- Collaborate with the communications and growth department to ensure brand standards are met throughout the social media platforms.
- Provide weekly progress updates, including: content performance, engagement metrics, number of PNMs identified and lead pipeline progress.
REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
- Recent Delta Phi Epsilon alumna in good standing
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and current social media trends
- Excellent written communication skills
- Comfortable initiating conversations through social media
- Self-starter who can work independently in a remote environment
- Canva experience preferred
- Basic video editing experience preferred
Salary Range is $12 – 16/hour
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
