Content Editor at Hennessey Digital – $45,000.00-$60,000.00/year
Hennessey Digital, a leading search engine optimization (SEO) and digital marketing agency in North America, is seeking a highly organized, self-motivated QA Editor to join its team. The ideal candidate for this role is a consummate team player who is an excellent storyteller, very detail-oriented, has a flexible mindset, and has at least two (2) years of SEO content, legal content, and/or digital marketing agency experience.
We are a fully remote and highly collaborative team of digital marketing thought leaders located all over the country. We provide white-glove service to our clients, and we’re looking for a thoughtful team member who can ensure that all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and on strategy.

The desired candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills—as well as be familiar with project management in a creative agency atmosphere.
The QA Editor is responsible for proofing, editing, rewriting, and occasionally researching a variety of digital content for client websites to help optimize SEO ranking at the quality assurance level prior to publishing.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Proofread and edit spelling, grammar, and syntax of new and existing content.
- Verify accuracy and industry-specific information within content, including backlinks.
- Analyze copy, and seek to increase reader engagement and retention.
- Ensure all content is in line with all Hennessey Digital on-page SEO guidelines.
- Ensure all content follows client-specific brand guidelines.
- Communicate and coach writers on any changes to SEO guidelines and improve the overall quality of content written by our team.
- Organize, modify, and update content written by clients and other third parties.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Content and Content Managers to identify knowledge gaps or training opportunities for the production team.
- Keep up with a high-volume production environment, editing 25+ articles per day.
- Manage a busy workload according to various ongoing deadlines.
- General knowledge of SEO and industry best practices.
Experience
- Flawless writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- 2+ years of copywriting and copyediting experience; SEO or legal content strongly preferred
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong editorial judgment
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate workflows and processes; publications processes a plus
- Experience working with content management systems; WordPress or Hubspot a plus
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field and/or equivalent experience
