About LH2 Holdings
LH2 Holdings is an AI-powered digital media accelerator and holding company. We acquire or partner
with digital media brands (content websites now, with expansion into YouTube channels, social media
creators, podcasts, and newsletters in the future) and scale them through technology, content, and
distribution infrastructure.
This is powered by LH2 Media OS — an AI-powered platform that helps digital content brands scale
by optimizing the entire content value chain, from identifying viral topics and trends in real time to
generating story angles, research, and editorial support.
We currently work with approximately 25 brands across multiple niches with more than 50 million
monthly pageviews under management, where each brand has been scaled 3–10x.
Our vision is to become the largest distributed digital media company in the world. LH2 is being built
by second-time founders who have previously scaled technology platforms serving hundreds of
millions of users.
About the Role
One of our news brands covers the businesses behind America’s storefronts — restaurants, retailers,
and commercial real estate across 33+ U.S. metros. We are looking for a highly experienced
Business & Finance writer and subject-matter expert who can transform complex corporate
developments in these sectors — bankruptcies, restructurings, liquidity challenges, debt issues, and
turnaround efforts — into deeply researched, analytical, insight-driven stories.
This role goes beyond reporting headlines. The ideal candidate understands how businesses
deteriorate financially, why companies enter bankruptcy protection, how restructuring works, and
what financial and operational indicators signal distress — and can translate that into compelling,
opinion-driven content for a broad audience. You should be comfortable analyzing financial
statements, bankruptcy filings, debt structures, and liquidity metrics, and explaining not just what
happened, but why it happened and what it means going forward.
What You’ll Do
• Research and write in-depth, analysis-led stories on retail, restaurant, and commercial real estate
bankruptcies, restructurings, distressed businesses, store closings, debt challenges, and major
corporate developments.
• Analyze and interpret bankruptcy court filings, SEC filings, earnings reports, investor presentations,
financial statements, and management commentary to identify meaningful insights and story
opportunities.
• Develop original, opinion-driven stories that explain the strategic, financial, and operational factors
driving outcomes.
• Simplify complex financial and legal concepts into clear, engaging, accessible content while
maintaining a high standard of accuracy and editorial quality.
• Collaborate closely with editorial and research teams to strengthen reporting and ensure
comprehensive coverage.
What You Should Have
• 3–5+ years in business or financial journalism, corporate analysis, bankruptcy or distressed
coverage, equity research, credit analysis, or related business-focused roles.
• Based in the United States, with strong experience covering U.S. companies and a deep
understanding of corporate finance, financial statements, and restructuring processes.
• Ability to interpret complex financial information and convert it into insightful, opinion-driven content
rather than simple news summaries.
• Excellent written English, strong editorial judgment, and the ability to explain technical financial
concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
Preferred Qualifications
• Background in finance, accounting, economics, business analysis, credit analysis, equity research,
investment research, or restructuring advisory.
• Experience writing analytical content that combines financial data, business strategy, and industry
context to deliver actionable insights.
• Familiarity with SEC filings, bankruptcy court documentation, earnings transcripts, investor
presentations, and financial research platforms.
• Prior coverage of retail, restaurant, hospitality, or commercial real estate companies.
