About us: StrikeFunnels is a specialized marketing agency that builds long-form pre-sale landing pages to bridge the gap between ads and product pages for DTC eCommerce brands. Most brands send emotional ad traffic directly to logical product pages, creating a disconnect that kills conversions. We fix that disconnect with advertorials and listicles that continue the ad’s narrative and build conviction before the sale. We work with established DTC brands spending $50K+ on ads per month.
The Role:
Most “direct response copywriters” are just filling in templates.
You’re not most copywriters.
You’ve studied Schwartz, Halbert, Hopkins, and Sugarman.
You can recite the 5 levels of awareness and the stages of market sophistication without thinking. You understand mass desires, not just surface-level pain points.
But here’s what makes you rare:
You’ve figured out how to weaponize AI.
While others are manually grinding out mediocre copy, you’re engineering prompts that extract consumer language from reviews, identify sophisticated market positioning in minutes, and generate angles that would take most writers days to develop.
You don’t write copy. You orchestrate it.
StrikeFunnels solves a $50K+/month problem for established DTC brands: the traffic temperature mismatch.
Brands are sending cold, emotional ad traffic directly to warm, logical product pages. It’s like proposing marriage on a first date. The disconnect murders conversion rates.
We bridge that gap with long-form advertorials that continue the ad’s emotional narrative, handle objections, and build conviction before the sale ever happens.
And we’re looking for someone who can do what 99% of copywriters can’t:
Analyze winning ad creative, understand the underlying psychology, and create native-style content that pre-sells without triggering sales resistance.
What You’ll Actually Do:
- Write 1-4 strategic advertorials weekly (1,500-3,000 words) that convert cold traffic into buyers
- Reverse-engineer winning ad angles to identify the emotional hooks and psychological triggers that are already working
- Deploy AI systematically to accelerate research, extract customer language, map objections, and generate strategically sound first drafts that you refine into conversion machines
- Navigate awareness stages – you know exactly how to write for problem-aware prospects who don’t know your product exists yet
- Stay compliant with FTC/FDA guidelines while still writing copy that sells (especially in supplements/health/wellness)
Who You Are (And Who You’re Not):
You ARE:
- A student of psychology first, copywriter second – you’ve internalized the classics: Breakthrough Advertising, The Boron Letters, Scientific Advertising, Influence, Ogilvy on Advertising
- An AI strategist – you’ve built your own research frameworks, prompt libraries, and systems that turn hours of work into minutes
- Obsessed with the customer’s world – you don’t assume, you research, and you know how to extract insights from reviews, Reddit threads, and competitor angles
- Fluent in awareness and sophistication stages – you can diagnose where a market sits and adjust your approach accordingly
- A native content specialist – your advertorials feel like editorial content, not sales pages in disguise
- Self-directed and deadline-driven – we provide creative briefs, you deliver results in 5-7 days
You are NOT:
- Afraid of AI (if you think AI is “cheating,” this isn’t for you)
- Someone who needs their hand held through every project
- A template filler who treats every product the same
- Anti-research (if you start writing before deep-diving the customer, you’ll struggle here)
What You’ll Need to Show Us:
Your portfolio should demonstrate:
- 3+ years of direct response experience in eCommerce (bonus if it’s health/wellness/supplements)
- Advertorials or listicles that actually converted – we want to see native-style content that sold without feeling like a sales page
- Strategic thinking – show us you understand why your copy worked, not just that it worked
- Your AI workflow (optional but highly valued) – how are you using AI to amplify your strategic thinking?

Compensation & Growth Path:This role begins on a per-project basis at $750-1,500 per project, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position as we scale.
