Statistics Curriculum Writer – $30 – $45 an hour
Fraser’s Mathematics Solutions (FMS) provides comprehensive training around high-quality mathematics teaching and learning for educators and families and creates innovative STEAM programs for students.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Statistics Curriculum Writer to design high-quality, engaging statistics curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in statistics and mathematics education, with proven experience in curriculum development. You will be responsible for creating content that is aligned with educational standards and supports the FMS instructional framework.
This role involves close collaboration with the Curriculum Team, Project Manager, and Math Illuminators to ensure all project deliverables and deadlines are met. Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)
- Design and write engaging, rigorous, and standards-aligned statistics curriculum for various programs and student workshops.
- Develop new and revised statistics content, ensuring it supports the FMS instructional framework and educational objectives.
- Collaborate with the curriculum team and other stakeholders to plan, review, and refine content.
- Respond promptly to feedback and implement revisions to ensure continuous improvement and alignment.
- Participate in periodic check-in and team meetings as necessary.
- Stay informed on the latest trends, research, and standards in statistics education.
- Upon mutual agreement, accept additional responsibilities to support the team’s success.
Additional Expectations/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education, or a related field OR 3+ years of relevant experience in teaching statistics and/or statistics curriculum writing.
- Demonstrable experience in designing and writing high-quality educational content, specifically for statistics.
- Strong understanding of statistics standards and pedagogical best practices.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organization and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in using G-Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets) and Asana is preferred.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a passion for helping students learn and demystify statistics.
Working Conditions
- This is a NON-Benefited contract position.
- The role is primarily remote, with work scheduled on an as-needed, project basis.
- Must be available for periodic virtual meetings.
- Candidates must have reliable internet access and be proficient with online collaboration tools.
