Social Media Specialist (Remote)
The VAM Group is a performance marketing and creative growth agency that builds powerful systems for brands in wellness, finance, legal, and tech. We move fast, rely on data, and expect high-level collaboration across a distributed global team.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist to own daily social execution across multiple client accounts. You’ll work closely with our video editors and creative team to plan, publish, and optimize content. You’ll also interface with clients to collect raw content (photos, video snippets, testimonials), maintain a clean and authentic follower base, and track key growth metrics.
- Plan and publish social content calendars across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, Google Business, etc.).
- Coordinate with our video editors and graphic designers to ensure assets are delivered on time and on-brand.
- Collect and organize content from clients (UGC, behind-the-scenes, testimonials, product/service highlights).
- Use tools like Metricool, Later, Buffer, or native platform schedulers to post and monitor content.
- Identify and remove fake followers/bots to maintain healthy engagement.
- Conduct hashtag and trend research to increase reach and discoverability.
- Track KPIs (growth, engagement, reach, impressions, saves, shares, click-through rates) and report actionable insights.
- Collaborate with paid ads and SEO teams for integrated campaigns.
- Monitor platform updates and algorithm changes.
- 2+ years managing brand social media accounts with measurable growth.
- Proficiency in social media tools (Metricool strongly preferred; Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar also OK).
- Experience coordinating with video editors and creative teams.
- Knowledge of audience building, hashtags, and trend discovery.
- Strong written communication skills for captions and light copy edits.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Comfortable using Slack, Google Workspace, and Asana (or similar PM tools).
- Strong attention to detail and data-driven mindset.
- Experience with paid ads (Meta, TikTok, Google) reporting.
- Basic photo/video editing skills for quick content fixes.
- Familiarity with KPI dashboards and Looker Studio/Google Analytics.
- Remote-first work with flexible hours.
- Company email & Slack integration.
- Direct access to creative resources (video editors, designers, copywriters).
- Growth-focused environment with clear KPIs and performance feedback.
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience (monthly retainer or hourly contract).
Location: Fully remote — must have reliable internet and be available for PST-friendly hours.
