Position Overview
We are seeking aFull-Time Digital Fundraising Copywriter to join our team. The primary focus of this role is writing copy for digital fundraising communications — including email campaigns, landing pages, and other donor touchpoints. This position requires collaboration with clients to ensure that each piece of writing matches their unique voice, while also adapting content based on client feedback and requests.
Responsibilities
- Write persuasive, donor-focused copy for emails, websites, and other digital fundraising channels.
- Collaborate with nonprofit clients to align writing with their organizational voice and style.
- Revise and edit copy based on client feedback.
- Work with designers and strategists to ensure copy and creative align.
- Meet deadlines across multiple client projects with attention to detail and consistency.
Required Qualifications
- Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
- Experience writing fundraising or marketing copy, especially for nonprofits.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Passion for mission-driven work and interest in nonprofit fundraising.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Familiarity with digital marketing channels (email, landing pages, social media).
- Knowledge of donor psychology and fundraising best practices.
- Familiarity with The Salvation Army’s programs and structure.
