Since 1988, Rainforest Trust has been safeguarding imperiled tropical habitats and saving endangered species by supporting rights-based conservation measures such as affirming and securing rights to Indigenous or Traditional Territories, recognizing Conserved Areas (OECMs), and establishing traditional Protected Areas, including those with co-management of Indigenous or local communities. Working in partnership with local organizations and communities, we have protected more than 56 million acres of vital habitat across Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Pacific. HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE TO OUR MISSION:
- Write proposals and reports that help us secure revenue either through soliciting or stewarding donors
- Collaborate across teams to project manage the development of fundraising materials from information-gathering to final product to enhance our fundraising and ultimately increase our revenue.
- Be the point person for copy writing and grammar checks for the fundraisers to help support high-level donor communications.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, WE’RE HOPING YOU’LL HAVE:
- Clear and Compelling Writing Expertise. You bring a demonstrated ability to craft clear, compelling written content for various audiences. Whether writing proposals, donor communications, or technical reports, you adapt your style and tone to fit the audience while maintaining clarity and impact. Your strong writing, editing, proofreading, research, and grammar skills ensure that all communications are top-notch and error-free. You can quickly grasp complex technical and scientific concepts and distill them into clear, engaging narratives. Whether explaining conservation principles or scientific data, you excel in making complicated topics easily understandable and engaging.
- Proposal & Donor Communication Expertise. You have experience writing tailored proposals for high-level donors, interpreting financial information, and crafting messages that drive revenue and engagement. You ensure all written materials align with organizational goals, maintaining consistency and supporting the brand’s mission.
- Strong Project & Time Management Skills. You can easily balance multiple priorities and adapt to shifting deadlines while ensuring quality deliverables. You’re skilled with project management tools like Asana, effectively managing tasks and timelines to keep projects on track.
- Strong History of Cross-Team Collaboration. You effectively work cross-functionally, collaborating with leadership and teams to gather information, meet deadlines, and drive shared goals.
