Fashion & Culture Writer – Freelance
ASTHTC is looking for contributors: writers, creatives, and culture commentators.
ASTHTC is a digital publication at the intersection of fashion, art, music, and culture. We cover the global fashion scene (runways in Paris, New York, and London) but we also care about the moments that happen off the runway: the art exhibits, the underground parties, the archival drops, the cultural shifts, and the people shaping what’s next.
We’re seeking freelance contributors with a point of view. If you’ve got something to say, we want to hear from you.
What you’ll do:
- Pitch and write original stories, essays, reviews, or interviews
- Cover topics in fashion, music, visual art, cultural history, or nightlife
- Contribute to ASTHTC’s editorial series and seasonal features
- Work remotely with our creative team to shape stories that are sharp, distinct, and conversation-starting
Qualifications
We’re looking for contributors who are:
- Strong writers or visual storytellers with a clear voice and sense of aesthetic
- Curious about fashion beyond trends: its historical, political, and artistic layers
- Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
- Interested in emerging designers, cultural tastemakers, and the broader creative ecosystem
Nice to have (but not required):
- Experience writing or creating for magazines, blogs, or digital platforms
- A personal lens or lived experience that challenges the fashion status quo
- Fluency in subculture, archival references, and the global creative community
- Skills in photography, video, or digital media (e.g. Instagram storytelling, reels, short-form video)
Details:
- Freelance, remote
- Paid per piece
- Credited bylines or creator credit
- Open to global contributors
To apply:
Send 1–2 samples of your work (written, visual, or video), a short note on why you’re interested in ASTHTC, and 2–3 pitch ideas to careers@asthtc.com.
We’re here for bold voices, layered perspectives, and stories that cut through the noise.
