Documentation – Technical Writer I
Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to enable everyone to accelerate the results that matter. By taking advantage of all structured and unstructured data — securing and protecting private information more effectively — Elastic’s complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability help organizations deliver on the promise of AI.
We are seeking a technically savvy writer to support our engineering teams within our Platform, Security and Observability products. As a writer at Elastic, you’ll be embedded within engineering and you’ll help shape the evolution of our products and services. We care deeply about giving you ownership of what you’re working on. We believe Elastic achieves greatness when you are free to pursue your ideas and are surrounded and challenged by your peers. You are empowered to comment on anything, regardless of your role!
Does this sound like your kind of opportunity? Check out our docs and install and tinker with our products! Tell us why you’re interested and what you can bring to the role. Upload any writing samples you have, or provide links to your portfolio, GitHub contributions, or other publicly-available content with your application.
- Work side-by-side with Elastic engineers, product marketing, support, and your fellow writers to document new features, improve our existing content, help users succeed with Elastic products, and tell a consistent Elastic story.
- Produce how-to guides, user guides, tutorials, and other content for our documentation website and in-product help center.
- Use Elastic’s Git-based software development process—being comfortable using Git and GitHub is important.
- Review and edit documentation changes contributed by other Elastic employees and community members.
- Test both the product and its documentation for accuracy and consistency.
