CONTRACT- Maya Curriculum Writer – $25 – $30 an hour
We are seeking an experienced curriculum developer to design and document a high-school-level Maya/Unity course. Content will emphasize Autodesk Maya 3D modeling, Maya-to-Unity workflows, character animation, and environment assembly, aligned to the outline provided:

Key Responsibilities
- Break down the provided syllabus into individual lessons, learning objectives, and assessment criteria.
- Write detailed instructional materials: step-by-step tutorials, quizzes, and challenges.
- Develop project files.
- Create images and gifs to go into lesson.
- Ensure all content is compatible with Orbit’s LMS format and delivery requirements.
- First two units(courses are made up of multiple units) done by September.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years teaching or curriculum design experience in 3D modeling/animation or game development.
- Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Maya and Unity (latest LTS).
- Demonstrated ability to author clear, concise technical tutorials and assessments.
- Familiarity with self-paced LMS delivery and best practices in online instruction.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet fixed deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Krita or equivalent for texture‐creation.
- Prior work designing high-school or introductory college-level game courses.
- Portfolio of sample curriculum or published tutorials.
- Video tutorial creation experience
Compensation:
Compensation for roles at GameU vary depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, GameU provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $25 – $20 per hour. Compensation will always be compliant with the wage requirements in the state of employment.
