Minecraft Long-Form Movie Scriptwriter | JoofyLooby – $2,000-$4,000 Per Project
Hi! Thanks for checking out my job listing!
I highly recommend you check out some of my videos to get a sense of what I’m looking for.
The Job:
As scriptwriter for the JoofyLooby channel, you will be in charge of writing fully-scripted scripts for 2-4 hour videos. These scripts are NOT just outlines, they are everything: dialogue, scene directions, characters. You should think of these scripts as if they are literally being made for a movie.
I pride myself in having hardly any dead time in my videos. If there is a scene, there is always dialogue to go along with it. In total, you can expect a finished script to be hundreds of pages long, and 50,000 – 100,000 words long. These scripts are massive.
You will be given a general outline of the story (sometimes) along with the video title, and then it will be your job to create a highly-engaging movie that can span multiple hours. I anticipate there will be a very collaborative training period at the start, and then you will slowly be able to write more independently.
Job Requirements:
- English Fluency – my videos are written in English, and since they are multiple hours in length, your English needs to be fantastic.
- Minecraft Game Knowledge – my videos take place in Minecraft. So, in order for you to give proper scene directions, you must know precisely what is/isn’t possible in Minecraft. You cannot just be “familiar” with the game, you need to have extensive knowledge from hopefully years of playing the game.
- Fantastic Storyteller – my videos are movies. So, you need to be able to write a movie. You need to have the creativity, attention to detail, and patience to write an engaging movie that lasts hours.
- YouTube Knowledge – knowing how to set the stakes, explain the world, and deliver on a video’s packaging all at the very start of a video.
- Disciplined/Hardworking – you will be given 5-7 days to write an hour of finished video. You can’t procrastinate these scripts.
- Willing to Adapt – I have a unique formatting system for my videos that you will need to quickly grasp. You will also need to learn to write in my style and tone.
- Creative – gonna harp on this again, but you need to be extremely creative to write an engaging video that lasts hours.
Final Thoughts:
I want to make it very clear that this is not a run-of-the-mill scriptwriting position. The workload will likely be 25+ hours per week. I want to find a candidate that will stick with my channel for the long-haul. If this interests you, please apply.
