Junior Copywriter
We’re looking for a talented Junior Copywriter to join our team and help bring our premier client’s Beauty brand voice to life across digital channels. You’ll collaborate closely with the copywriting team to craft compelling, click-worthy content with a primary focus on email, mobile push notifications, and select landing pages.
You should be a quick pivot when it comes to adapting tone and style by channel, and love writing short, sharp, scroll-stopping copy that gets guests excited. A strong pulse on pop culture, beauty trends, and lifestyle is key—we’re looking for someone who can create relevant, relatable content that resonates. The role starts as a 7-month contract and candidates local to Chicago Metro area are preferred.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Bring the Beauty brand voice to every piece of copy, ensuring tone consistency across all digital touchpoints
- Write, refine, and adapt messaging for email, push, and landing pages, always thinking about the end user’s experience
- Collaborate with design partners to ensure copy and visuals are aligned for maximum impact
- Stay ahead of trends in beauty, culture, and content—bringing fresh ideas and insight to the team
- Work efficiently and with strong attention to detail, juggling multiple projects and deadlines at once
- Contribute ideas in editorial brainstorms and help maintain messaging cohesion across channels
- Respond quickly to evolving business needs while maintaining brand integrity
WHO YOU ARE
- 1–3 years of professional copywriting experience (agency, editorial, or in-house retail/beauty background a plus)
- Passionate about beauty, lifestyle, and the company’s Beauty brand
- Comfortable using Gen AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for ideation and support
- Strong attention to detail with creative, strategic, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently and in collaboration with others
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, or a related field preferred
