Location: United States – Remote
Employment Type: Part-Time (10–20 hours/week)
Clearance: US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance
Position Overview:
Joseph & Associates is seeking a Technical Writer to support proposal development and internal documentation. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of technical writing standards in a government contracting environment and can quickly translate technical input into clear, compelling content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and edit technical content including SOPs, system manuals, and user documentation
- Support proposal responses by writing sections related to technical approach, methodology, and compliance
- Coordinate with SMEs and developers to collect information and clarify complex concepts
- Review documentation for clarity, grammar, consistency, and adherence to templates and compliance standards
- Organize and maintain a library of reusable content for proposals and internal use
Required Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years of technical writing experience in IT, software, or government services
- Strong writing, editing, and formatting skills using MS Word, Adobe, and Google Workspace
- Familiarity with government proposal structures (e.g., SOWs, PWSs, RFP responses)
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple deadlines
- Experience working in collaborative tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, or Jira
