Technical Writer/Editor
AMPS is the world leader in the production of software tools used specifically in the field of quantitative ECG analysis and blood pressure monitoring (www.amps-llc.com).
AMPS is currently seeking a professional Technical Writer to join its expanding team. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating and updating technical documents and manuals, explain complex information in a clear and concise manner, and work with scientific staff and software developers to ensure accuracy of product descriptions. If you have previous experience as a Technical Writer in the Pharmaceutical or Clinical Research Organizations industry, we encourage you to submit an application.
The task covered by this position will include:
Plan, develop, organize, write and edit software documentation and user manuals.
Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.
Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content.
Manage updates and revisions to technical literature.
Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
English mother tongue with excellent written skills
Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation
Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred.
AMPS is a New York, NY, based corporation, however the core development center is based in the north of Italy, therefore knowledge of Italian as second language is an advantage. The candidates will be offered a contract as consultant and the work location can be either at the Italian center or performed remotely, depending on the candidate’s preference.
