Content Specialist
Reporting to the Content Strategy Lead and working closely with Solutions Advisors, the Content Specialist is responsible for annual campaign planning that aligns with and supports company and sales goals. This includes the development and coordination of campaign content for assigned service lines as well as other company content needs.
They work collaboratively with other professionals across the company to write, edit, and deploy enterprise-wide content efforts. They can successfully manage the full cycle of content (long-form and short-form) from ideation to execution. Additionally, they will partner with QA professionals, external copywriters, and vendors to manage and ensure the timely completion of all company content needs.
A successful candidate will work with marketing and company leadership to help position the brand for growth. They are driven to gain a competitive advantage and deploy strategies that will help differentiate the company in the marketplace and continuously fine-tune our strategies. They will be responsible for preparing monthly reporting data, analytics, and relevant competitive intelligence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Lead campaign and content development initiatives that align with the annual marketing strategy and revenue-generating campaigns
- Create informed content campaigns (including but not limited to articles, blogs, emails, podcasts, videos, webinars, ads, collateral, and website copy) while utilizing SEO-driven tactics and adhering to editorial/brand style guides
- Act as an editorial adviser on multiplatform marketing projects, consulting with creative, brand, and digital marketing to develop editorial content
- Project manage all content development to ensure deadlines are met; enter/monitor projects and deadlines in Smartsheet and regularly communicate updates to stakeholders and supervisors
- Utilize strong analytical skills to map and evaluate the end-to-end client experience across multiple channels, staying aligned with the client decision journey
- Support integrated communications across all social and digital platforms and strengthen industry relationships and client retention
- Maintain vendor-partner relationships as needed, including external writers and editors when the workload requires additional resources to ensure time, quality, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with marketing team members, including the Digital Specialist, Social Media Specialist, and others, to maximize campaign and content potential
- Assist with marketing and brand transitions of newly acquired companies
- Deliver exceptional internal service to company stakeholders
- Tracking the Legal Ecosystem
- Ensure all thought leaders and company spokespeople are aware of media opportunity protocol and receive regular media relations training
- Work with company leadership and within the marketing team to maintain a competitor list for all assigned service lines
- Monitor and report marketplace activity, industry trends, and publication opportunities that may impact marketing and branding efforts (Google Alerts, MonitorSuite, Meltwater, third-party platforms, and other tools; JD Supra, National Law Review, Law 360, and other platforms)
- Work in tandem with the Senior Events Specialist to identify conferences where IMS thought leaders, and those of its subsidiaries, could attend, network, and speak

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years minimum of direct working experience in B2B content development or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to the role.
- Experience in professional services sectors; the consulting or legal industry preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and the ability to draft and synthesize content into compelling messaging
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and organize a heavy workload in a dynamic, complex environment to meet all deadlines
- Passion for the organization and for exploring concepts, trends, and thought leadership ideas
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proactive self-starter; strategic thinker
- Have an eye for design and brand compliance

EDUCATION & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; focus in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, political science, English, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to new software programs
- Experience with multimedia content production and integration into marketing campaigns
- Member of any related professional associations is a plus
- Familiarity with Chicago and AP style writing

- This position is 100% remote and supports east to west coast time zones
